There’s so many great things about living in Sydney, it’s beautiful, convinient, clean, safe and has the most amazing beaches. But sometimes is nice to take a break and breathe the fresh air of the mountains. Known for dramatic scenery, Blue Mountains encompasses steep cliffs, eucalyptus forests, waterfalls and villages, great for bushwalking and sightseeing. Katoomba, a major town in the area, borders Blue Mountains National Park and its bushwalking trails. Echo Point affords views of the storied Three Sisters sandstone rock formation.
You only need less than an hour drive west of Sydney to get to the beautiful Blue Mountains. You can also catch a train, NSW TrainLink offer an efficient service every 10-20 minutes to Katoomba, or you can arrange a coach or tour company if you don’t want to travel by yourself.
You can spend the dat exploring the mountain area and waterfalls close by. The town is also charming and best when markets or festivals are on. It’s always a good time to visit the mountains.
